Not that bad a call really. I would probably have done the same.

You called a pre-flop raise (and so presumably dont have a 3), checked the flop and raised on the turn after a 1200 bet.

It looks like an all-in steal from a relatively short stack. You have to have an ace or KK to have him beat on the turn (assuming you havent called with a 3 by some miracle).

So i reckon he put you on nothing (total steal) or a lower pocket pair.

And I still want my $10.50 by the way!! ;-)

P.S. Or if u you have him beat he knows he still has 8k to play with. All in all worth a shot for cotton IMHO.

But what do i know?

I called a preflop raise - correct, but with the blinds so low (still early in the tournament) I could still have a 3 or more likely, I have an Ace. The overbet was to either get him to fold an ace if he had one too or make him think I was bluffing and call with a worse hand). Either way, if you were looking at my cards at the time - the call was worthy of the COW award.
